The robotics startup has made the HEBI X-Series Actuators modular with the H-ROS robot bus. Now, this servomotors are easily communicating with all other ROS 2 speaking robot hardware, regardless of their original manufacturer.
Through a strategic agreement, the high-tech robotics startup Acutronic Robotics, invested by Sony and Acutronic, has add real-time and security features to HEBI's series elastic actuators. All are now available worldwide via Acutronic Robotics’ website in its modular version.
Acutronic Robotics uses its cutting-edge H-ROS technology to further pave the way for a more flexible automation. The H-ROS robot bus reduces system integration effort, one of the largest bottlenecks in robotic development. In other words, this bus specifically designed for robots makes building, extending or repairing these machines much simpler and efficient.
Among other highly valuable features, the new HEBI series elastic actuators are qualified to achieve time synchronization and deterministic communications enabled with TSN standards.
More Adaptability and Flexibility Through Modular Robotics
New industry players are discovering robot development for themselves to extend automation to new applications, and they are using ROS instead of building their own proprietary software system. Acutronic Robotics' vision has allowed the startup to foresee this trend and develop the H-ROS robot bus, a solution that is one step ahead and market-ready.
For Acutronic Robotics this widespread adoption of ROS2 is only the first step.
“We believe that robots will soon all be speaking ROS in a native way. With the H-ROS robot bus we are leading the change and working with manufacturers that contribute to the robotics community”, says Víctor Mayoral, CEO of Acutronic Robotics.
This is the 8th partnership with robot manufacturers made public by Acutronic Robotics.
